• What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

The most common mistake people make in selecting a photographer is they select on the basis of price. They go with a lowest price possible and then come back to me and ask me to “fix” their photos. In the end they spend more and are not fully happy with their photos as some things are just not “fixable”.

  • What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

Ask about experience and training. Anything to be done well needs to have both experience and training. I also believe that continual training is needed in most jobs today. Methods and equipment are continually changing. I attend classes and seminars several times a year to stay current and progressing for the future.

  • What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy working with my clients. They give me the chance to try new things, see things from a different perspective, and grow in my ability as a photographer. I also like hearing how much they like what we have done together and how it made them feel good about who they are and what they are about. I have done my job well when they say there are so many great photos that they can’t choose one but need them all.

And I enjoy capturing moments that turn into the memories that will last a lifetime!

  • Do you provide a DVD/CD with images from a Wedding or Session?

Our answer is yes, but it is a limited and shared DVD with the copyright to the images remaining with our studio. Our clients get a print release to have their selected images reproduced through other sources.  We caution people to use a quality lab for printing since not everyone pays close attention to their color balance and density.

  • What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

If there would be anything we would like to share with our clients, it is the fact that this is a serious business for us. This is what we love to do, but please understand it is our career and means of making an income to support our families.

There are many costs involved in running a successful photography studio and business. Just as there are in any business. So we ask you to please take our time and services seriously, and we will do our best to give you the best portraits.
